Go is a member of Washtenaw County’s Think Local First Initiative. We ask that you help revitalize and stimulate the regional economy by choosing locally produced goods and services. A key element of economic recovery, reboot, growth and value creation in the 21st century is investing in our community.

What is Sustainable Health?
While most gyms, health centers, and fitness clubs are stuck in the 20th century, pursuing more income – we are readily engaged in the present, pursuing better outcomes for our clients and community.
Sustainable Health is health for the 21st Century. Health for this new age, aimed precisely at making people and communities authentically better off. We seek connections with our clients and community, and to teach – not just inform. Further, we seek to provide meaningful, syrupy-thick value instead of the much more common thin, watery value.
Sustainability rejects business models in favor of betterness models: We believe businesses exist to make our world better, the people in it included. Not to profit by deceiving, exploiting, or lying. Our mission is simple: How can we provide a better and healthier outcome for you, and be completely awesome at it?
GoGrow
We are happy to announce a partnership with the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County. This partnership will allow for Go to provide monthly workshops, and free consultation services to the homeless clients of the Robert J. Delonis Center. We are working on the final details now, and will post a schedule once the services installed. At this point, the workshops will be open to the public in addition to the homeless clients of the Delonis Center.
It’s an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute to the health and vitality of the community!
Story
We know that typical gyms, health centers, and fitness clubs can be intimidating, noisy, and impersonal.
What they do poorly, we do with excellence, passion, and love. We want to see you do so much better. And we know you can do better.
Go is a new kind of business. We seek to change the rules – for a better you and a better world. And we seek to be amongst the leaders in the world at doing what we do.
Services
Lean and Strong: Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication. We do it best by focusing on two things: Making people stronger, and making them leaner.
There is a distinction – if you’re looking to get BIGGER, then this is not the gym for you. There are many fine places for bodybuilders and aspiring physique models and contest bodybuilders to train in Ann Arbor. But if you want raw, sinewy strength coupled with a delightfully lean and low body fat % – we are your ticket.
No Yoga, no Zumba, no Spinning, no Gyrotonics or Gyrokinesis. There are too many great places in town that offer those in abundance. If you don’t know about them – We can help you find them.
The recipe is simple: challenge the body with progressively increasing stimuli, rest, and repeat. We use weights. Sometimes rocks, stones and cars. A philosophy and path to attain leanness shares the same simple approach: raise your heart rate for a period of time, rest, and repeat. Intensity and longevity play a role here – but not always at the same time.
This assumes of course that you’ve got your eating 100% where it needs to be. We can help with that too – in fact, in our eyes it’s a necessity. Failure to master your eating means a failure to reach your goal.
Tip of the Week
BMI is non-applicable to active, exercising individuals. In other words: If you exercise = Don’t use BMI as a sole metric for body composition status.
